Now, it eventually got to the point where I couldn't stand even being at the festival anymore (if they enforced drug laws there, let's just say they'd need to run a continuous shuttle service to a large detainment facility.) So I left the festival right out and went and sat on some benches I found in the shade away from the park.
But here's something interesting I'm just thinking about. I think it's rather frowned upon to leave ACL for any reason really, especially on the last day and missing the headliner and whatnot. But I feel somewhat fine about it. I did what I thought I needed to do and nothing more or less. It was my decision entirely. That's a nice feeling.
Anyway, at that point I couldn't really breathe and oddly couldn't move my neck or upper torso. To make a long story short, I struggled through 30 minutes of walking to the car, drove home without turning my head, staggered around at my house for a while, then was escorted by my parents to the emergency room. I got an ECG and a CT scan, both of which were new to me, and eventually it was revealed that there were many air bubbles caught under my skin (some of which can still feel, they feel like bubblewrap.)
So I had the opportunity to stay in the hospital overnight for "observation" to make sure I didn't die I guess. I got home a few hours ago, and now am doing better. Interesting weekend. But now I have a rather robust amount of homework to make up (seeing as how I skipped Friday for ACL, and was detained all day at the hospital today, and therefore had an impromptu four day weekend...)
Sooo... that's that and what's what.
